It is the combination of an almost forgotten 16th century craft with new age materials and graphic design that lead to the creation of Czar press. At Czar Press, we strive to bring brilliant designs to life. Letterpressing, is as much an art, as it is a science, and all of our creations are hand feed, one piece at a time, one color at a time. They come to life with dimension, deep impressions, vibrant colors and beauty that is only found with letterpress.
We specialize in printing everything from wedding invites, holiday cards, greetings, business cards, stationary and even coasters. We do work with individuals, designers, stationery stores and other print shops alike. You could say that we print everything and work with everyone.
Leaving a small environmental footprint is extremely important to us. All of our paper is either 100% recycled or cotton. The majority of our inks are either soy or rubber based. Our scraps and misprints are made into note pads. Even more…we offer to frame your used plates into hanging pieces of art (please see last picture under The Goods - Other Stuff). Our presses have been around since the 1920’s and use very little or no carbon energy to run. We are committed using the technology of yesterday, to create your visions today, while still leaving the planet a better place for tomorrow.
