Paper is about as simple as materials get. It’s also one of the most particular. It changes how ink sits, how color reads, how deep an impression goes, and how foil catches the light. The Czar team has spent years learning everything that simple material can do, and we’ve gotten a little obsessive about it.
About 25 of us. Presses between 80 and 100 years old, with digital printing alongside them.
The millimeter
matters.
The same ink can print differently on two different sheets, so we match color to the paper it’s going on. When the stock won’t allow an exact match, we get it within tolerance. If registration is a millimeter off, we do everything we can to bring it in. When a job needs to look consistent across more than one print method, we take the extra steps to keep it that way.

Good print starts with working it through together. Before anything goes on press, we check that your idea is achievable with the stock, the processes, and the artwork. If something won’t work, we’ll explain why and help you find what will. We keep you in the loop along the way.
Once everything is set and your job is in production, no news is good news. If you’re not hearing from us, it’s moving along as planned.
