The fine print
Wholesale,
in plain type.
Wholesale accounts get trade pricing on everything we print and one project manager for every job. No minimums. No quote forms. Here’s exactly how it works.
What comes with
the account.
Wholesale pricing on everything
Trade pricing on every Czar Press product: letterpress, hot foil stamping, embossing, digital printing, die cutting, and finishing. You see it in real time as you build the order.
One project manager. Every job.
Your account gets one project manager, and they stay with you. Same person on your first order and every one after, so you’re not re-explaining your work each time.
Order and reorder in the portal
Build the order, change the stock, change the quantity, and watch the price update. Save it halfway and come back tomorrow. When a client wants more, reorder a past job from your account.
From application to press.
01 APPLY
Takes about two minutes. Tell us about your business and what you print. Have your EIN handy. California businesses can upload a CDTFA-230 resale certificate to set the account up as tax-exempt.
02 GET APPROVED
We review every application within 24-48 business hours. Once you’re approved, your client portal login arrives by email.
03 BUILD YOUR ORDER
Spec the job in the portal and see wholesale pricing as you go. Anything that needs custom pricing, like sculpted embossing or a new custom die, gets flagged for review instead of guessed at.
04 PROJECT MANAGER REVIEW
Before anything is invoiced, your project manager checks the specs and artwork and makes sure what you’ve asked for can actually be printed. If something needs adjusting, you’ll hear about it now, not after press.
05 APPROVE AND PAY
Review and approve your digital PDF proofing agreement, and pay the invoice in full. Approved for Net 30? Your terms apply.
06 PRESS AND SHIP
Standard production is 12-15 business days. Digital printing only is 7-10 business days. The clock starts once your proofing agreement is approved, final print-ready artwork is in, and the invoice is paid. On Net 30 terms, it starts when the invoice is issued. Then we pack it up and ship it out.

No minimums.
Seriously.
No minimum order. No yearly volume to keep your account active.
Pricing does start at 50 pieces, and here’s why: at that quantity, most of the cost is setup, labor, and plates, not the print itself. Need fewer than 50? You can order them. The price is the same as 50.
Feel it before you spec it.
Our sample pack puts Crane’s Lettra, our house paper, in your hands, along with examples of each print method and basic sizing information. Useful for your own decisions. Even more useful on a client’s desk.
$10 added to a project
$15 on its own, shipping included.
The finer print.
Who can apply?
Designers, stationers, agencies, event planners, calligraphers, and artists, mostly. If you’re printing materials for something you sell (say, an interior designer printing marketing pieces for a product line), you can apply too.
What do I need to apply?
Company details, website, EIN, billing and shipping addresses, and a primary contact. If you have a resale certificate, have the number ready. California businesses can upload a CDTFA-230 to set the account up as tax-exempt.
How long does approval take?
24-48 business hours. Once you’re approved, your client portal login arrives by email.
Can I see wholesale pricing before I apply?
Wholesale pricing lives in the client portal and is visible only to approved accounts. Not looking for a wholesale account? Our retail order page shows pricing as you build. →
Are there minimums?
No. Pricing starts at 50 pieces, and you can order fewer at the 50-piece price.
How does payment work?
Your project manager reviews each order first. Then you’re invoiced and pay in full.
Do you offer Net 30?
Yes. Any approved wholesale account can apply from the client portal. It’s a separate application with a credit check.
What kind of proof will I get?
Every job gets a digital PDF proofing agreement to review the artwork and confirm the specs. Want a photo proof of the actual piece? It’s $10 per item, per print process or color. If we’re the ones asking for a photo proof, there’s no charge.
How long does production take?
Standard production is 12-15 business days. Digital printing only is 7-10 business days. The clock starts once the proofing agreement is approved, final print-ready artwork is in, and the invoice is paid (or issued, on Net 30 terms). Times are ship windows, not delivery dates. Need it sooner? Ask us about rush production.
Can you ship directly to my client?
Yes. We blind-ship, so there’s no Czar Press name on the box or packing slip. We ship worldwide; international orders are responsible for any export and customs fees.
Can I reorder a past job?
Yes, right from the client portal. We keep letterpress, foil, and embossing plates for 1 year on wedding and event work, and for 2 years on recurring pieces like business cards and greeting cards. Cutting dies are kept for 2 years. Want your plates? We’ll ship them with your order.
Can I supply my own paper?
Yes. Get in touch first so we can tell you the size and quantity to send. Client-supplied paper gets 10% off. Handmade paper is welcome for letterpress, foil, and embossing, but it doesn’t get the discount, since it takes extra press time.
Does the sample pack count toward my first order?
No. It’s priced separately from your order.
